Each door has two sides

Hypnosis and film share an interest in the transformation of perception. Cinema is often understood as a hypnotic space in which images, voice, and time guide attention and activate unconscious projections. In this context, the brain’s ability to store and retrieve images — and to reveal images from the subconscious — also comes into focus.
In Each Door Has Two Sides, hypnosis appears less as a theme than as an aesthetic structure. Through repetition, rhythm, duration, and voice, the video seeks to open a perceptual space between concentration, memory, and trance. Rather than approaching hypnosis illustratively, the film explores it as a kind of aesthetic experiment.
