Doris Schmid (*1974 Switzerland) is a visual artist based in Berlin and Zurich. Previously she spent ten years in Vienna. She studied in Basel and Zurich (painting and video/new media). After a short period of painting, she now works with photography, video, installation, audio and performance. She presents her works at home and abroad, in exhibitions, screenings and festivals, concerts, music videos and experimental radio plays. She often works in collaboration with musicians, audio artists and performers. She received numerous awards and residencies. 2017 an extensive artist book was published.
