Stage projections
The piece deals with remembering and forgetting, especially with the gaps and voids therein.There is a further reference to the novel Die Wand by Marlen Haushofer. The completely isolated existence described here is confronted with the personal archive of memories, learned behavior and perception, as well as with the space of nature and the animal world. States of consciousness are described that refer to voids: „As a child, I had always suffered from the foolish fear that everything I saw disappeared as soon as I turned my back on it … „
The video projection works with the motifs of forest/animals. The examination of the contradiction of the visibility of voids was literally transferred to the structure of the film: image sequences are projected and filmed again on several constructed forest backdrops, similar to oversized silhouettes. Film, backdrop and background create layers that cover each other, interlock and suggest spatiality.
